Applying to be a BCF Missionary

The BCF Missions Committee is available to any active member in the Fellowship who is interested in a full-time or short-term mission project. We would like to offer our prayer support, counsel and suggestions as you go through the process of choosing and applying for a mission project. For those who need financial support it is the Missions Committee's responsibility to make recommendations to the Elders.

We want to be a resource to you as you explore God's calling, become prepared, and raise support. Most people will start interacting with the Missions Committee by filling out parts A and B of the application form. Part A is primarily your biographical and spiritual background and can be submitted alone if you are unsure about the specific mission or project you will be serving.

Please email applications to the committee at BCF-MC@googlegroups.com. If you do not have email access hardcopy applications can be mailed to the BCF office (address below). If you do not have a picture in the directory, please include a picture with Part A.

Request for financial support involves completing parts A & B, meeting with the committee, and the committee's recommendation to the Elders.

Included at the end of the application are two reference forms for you to mail to two individuals who know you well enough to be able to evaluate your readiness to go on a mission project. We ask that one of your references be someone from BCF.

Deadline for 2010 summer missions support is March 15.
